Maui Missing Persons Case Now a Homicide

The case of a missing woman on Maui has now officially changed from a missing person case to a murder investigation. Maui police Friday said they have sufficient evidence to prove 27-year-old Charli Scott was murdered. No suspects have been arrested. The pregnant woman was reported missing February 10. Several searches were organized by her family and friends. Police never found Scott's body. She was last seen February 9 by her ex-boyfriend, Steven Capobianco, who asked her to take him to an area on Hana Highway because his truck had broken down. Police named Capobianco a person of interest, but not a suspect.
