Medical Examiner Identifies Drowning Victim

The Honolulu Medical Examiner has identified a man who drowned off Turtle Bay Resort last week as 59-year-old Elwood Plemer of Haleiwa.  The death was classified as accidental.  Plemer died of asphyxiation due to drowning.  His body was found floating in the ocean just before 5:30 p.m. He was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition where he died.
