Murder Case Solved on Big Island

A murder case on the Big Island has apparently been solved.  An Alaska man confessed to killing his pregnant girlfriend in a journal found near his hanging body. 22-year-old Boaz Johnson was a suspect in the death of 25-year-old Brittany Royal, whose strangled body was found in waters off Kalapana in May, but police could not locate him, until January 2, when they found Johnson's body.  DNA tests confirmed his identity.  Police say a composition book found near the body had three handwritten pages by a writer who identified himself as Johnson, confessing to strangling Royal during a dispute and throwing her body in the ocean.
