The state Department of Transportation wants to remind drivers that there will be two projects going on that will affect traffic on the Leeward coast and in Central Oahu. Tomorrow, Farrington Highway will be down to a single lane in the Honolulu-bound direction between Jade Street and Makaha Valley Road while a crew works on waterline maintenance. The road will be contraflowed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. And, there will be lane closures on Kamehameha Highway in the southbound direction tomorrow as well between Whitmore and Kilani avenues. That's so road resurfacing can take place on the Karsten Thot Bridge. The northbound lane will be contraflowed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Allow extra travel time.
